Pastoral Care Coordinator
I love to learn through experience, and building relationships with others to gain insight into how they perceive the world. Listening to stories, life experiences, and just trying it for myself has added a lot of colour to life. I am originally from St Catharines, Ontario, where I grew up in the United Church. I sprouted my wings moving to Kitchener, Ontario to study Woodworking Technology which opened many doors to design furniture and millwork, yet found myself searching for more. I worked in Toronto, Ontario for a few years then I moved to Calgary, Alberta excited about the possibilities. When I became a Youth Minister I discovered a hidden passion and desire awaken inside me and I started to explore my call to Ministry. I am a Diaconal Ministry Student and a Candidate for Ministry with the United Church of Canada. I started my ministry training in 2016 at the Centre for Christian Studies in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This training focuses on learning through experience and reflections, and has opened many doors and a spiritual renewal I didn’t think possible. I’m looking forward to what the future will bring, and how I will serve the Pastoral Care needs within the McDougall Community.
