AISH /ADAP Call to Action: Letter Writing Campaign
We shared previously a joint statement from the ministry staff and governing boards of McDougall, Ogden, and Red Deer Lake United Churches, standing with disabled Albertans in light of the ADAP legislation (if you missed it, you can read it here). We are encouraging you to take further action and write a letter to your MLA expressing your concerns with the proposed changes. Below is some more information on what the changes are as well as how they will affect disabled Albertans. If you are struggling to read it, feel free to download a copy here. We have also prepared a form letter that you simply have to fill in some information, you can download it here. All of these resources can be found at the church as well.
Now is the time to take action, we hope that you will consider joining us.
One more ask…. This is the first time that we have done a letter writing campaign, it would be helpful to know how far this goes. If you have, or plan to send a letter to your MLA, could you let us know? You can use the form below or send an email to sarah@mcdunited.com. We won’t share it, we simply want to get an idea on how far this goes.
If you have any questions at all, please contact the church office (403-252-1620)

Help us get the word out by sharing it with the people in your life. Below is a social media graphic that can be used (it can also be downloaded here).
