Fall Artisan Market: We are looking for baking

On October 3rd we are hosting a Fall Artisan Market at McDougall from 10 - 4 pm. As part of the market we will once again be selling baking at a bake table. Last year we sold out of baking, we would like to repeat this but with even more baking available for sale. All the money that we raise through the market table sales, bake table and concession will go back to the church.

Prefer to Bake with a Team

We are doing a baking bee on Monday, September 14th from 9:30 - 2:30 pm in McDougall’s kitchen. If you are free and able to give us an in-person push, we would so appreciate it. You can sign up to help out here.

Bring baking from home

We are looking for baking that we can sell. The last day we will be accepting baking is October 1, 2026. We will freeze the items so that they are fresh for the market. Volunteers will be ready to accept your baking on Sunday’s after the service starting in September or feel free to bring it to the church office during office hours (office hours are Monday - Thursday 9 am to 4 pm). We require that some information is provided with your baking, if you could attach this form that would be appreciated.

Not Sure What to Bake?

If you are not sure what to bake, we encourage you to bake something from one of these categories (we will happily take any baking, not just the items on this list):

  • Cookies

  • Loaves (small loaves sell the best)

  • Muffins

  • Pies

  • chex snack mix

  • cakes

  • squares

Thanksgiving is the week after the market so any Thanksgiving treats are very welcome! If you are not sure what to make, here are some tried and true recipes to follow: Pumpkin Pie, Canada Cornstarch Shortbread Cookies

Come Visit Us on October 3rd from 10 am - 4 pm

We hope that you will help us out by providing some baking prior to October 1st and then by coming and supporting our market. In addition to a curated selection of vendors, we will have a silent auction, concession, live music and of course our bake table. Invite friends and come to this fantastic event. It is open 10 - 4 pm. You can learn more by visiting the Fall Artisan Market event.

A HUGE thank you to the entire market planning team for their hard work but in particular thank you to Paula Sangster and Valerie MacLeod for your attention to our bake table.

Volunteers Wanted

If you would like to volunteer to help packing the baking or to help with the market, please consider signing up to help. Volunteer positions are trickling in and can be found here (more positions will be added as we get closer).

This event is being put on by the Marketing and Fundraising Group.
