52 Ways to Reconcile: How to Walk with Indigenous Peoples on the Path to Healing - Week 28
Week 28 – Create, and Take, Your Own Action
From 52 Ways to Reconcile: How to Walk with Indigenous Peoples on the Path to Healing by David A. Robertson
This week, the invitation is to create your own meaningful action toward building right relations.
David shares that when he first began writing this book, he often wondered if he could even come up with 52 meaningful acts to include. By the time he reached the end, he realized he had more than 50 additional ideas he could have shared. Sometimes, the hardest part is simply taking the first step.
Over the past 27 weeks, we have explored the actions David has suggested to help us learn, reflect, and grow. This week, he invites us to pause and consider what meaningful action we can take ourselves. Spend some time reflecting, then write down a few actions that feel achievable and authentic to you.
Your path may look different from someone else's, and that is something to celebrate. Each of us has different experiences, gifts, and opportunities to contribute to reconciliation. Every meaningful action, no matter how big or small, helps build stronger relationships and supports healing.
So, what will your first meaningful act be?
