McDougall/Christ Moravian Refugee Team – Marjorie MacRae
“There are 10 members on our team – 7 from McDougall, 2 from Red Deer Lake and one from Christ Moravian. We are currently providing various types of support to 2 Afghan families, one large Palestinian family and an Eritrean family (who attends McDougall) …Please say hi to Semhar and her children when you see them at church. We all admire her perseverance in the face of many complications. On the plus side we had summer outings with the families to Glenmore Park and Lake Bonavista. These were a lot of fun.”
The refugee group really appreciates the many ways the congregation supports us and our families. All of these ways are equally important - asking us how things are going, checking to see if we need something (a second hand car and baby supplies are on the list right now), and financial donations.
