September 3: Meeting on Zoom

  • Esther Petersen agreed to be the Co Lead of the Pastoral Care Ministry Team

  • Ogden United Church began holding Sunday worship services at the Ogden Community Hall at 2 PM

  • Rev. Bill weekly makes Pastoral Care phone calls.

  • McDougall had best turnout ever at the Pride Parade on Sept. 14

  • Rev. Bill has made plans for a Pastoral Care workshop to train volunteers to make visits and phone calls to McDougall members.  This workshop did not happen.

  • Service at Lake Bonavista Village and Fish Creek Manor on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 1:30 & 3:30 PM

  • Deaths: Mabel Martin & Larry Chaney

October 1:   Meeting on Zoom

  • Chinook Winds Regional Conference was hosted at McDougall on Oct. 17 – 19

  • 2 members of the Pastoral Care group attended the Pastoral Care workshop led by Geoffrey Simmons

  • Service  at Lake Bonavista Village and Fish Creek Manor on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 1:30 and 3:30 PM with Rev. Danah

  • Deaths : Lloyd Ash & Lillian Stein                      

November: no meeting

  • Nov. 18 – Lake Bonavista Village and Fish Creek Manor on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 1:30 and 3:30 pm with Rev. Danah

  • Deaths: Wayne Peddie &  Helen Gerlitz

December 3:  Meeting on Zoom

  • Pastoral Care Budget for 2026 :   same as 2025:  Coffee $800, Seniors’ Lunch $700, General $900, Workshops & Guest Speakers  $900,  Total $3300

  • Christmas Choir Contata: Dec. 7 with Red Deer Lake choir

  • Communion service at Fish Creek Manor on Dec. 16 at 3:30 PM led  by Rev. Danah.

  • Christmas Carol and Memorial service at Lake Bonavista Village on Wed., Dec. 17 at 7 PM led by Rev. Danah, Rev. Joanne Anquistt, Peggy Jorgensen, Justin  Macosky and Tanya Wan Lim.

  • Christmas services:  Christmas Eve:  4PM and Candle Light at 7 PM

Rev. Bill makes visits and phone calls of Pastoral Care for McDougall, Ogden and Red Deer Lake.

Eleanor Anderson sends cards to members for sickness, sympathy and special birthdays.

Other groups under Pastoral Care operate independently.
