Lloyd Ash

March 16, 1950 - October 10, 2025

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Ash on the 10th of October, 2025 at the age of 75 years.  

A memorial service will be held for Lloyd on Monday, October 20th at 2PM, at McDougall United Church with a reception to follow.

Lloyd was born and raised in Calgary. Lloyd earned his B.Sc. at the University of Calgary (1972, with distinction) and his M.Sc. at University of Waterloo (1974). Lloyd joined McDougall United Church with Nyla in November of 2003. Lloyd spent the first thirty years of his career at Trimac Transportation where he worked as a management consultant to private industry, new business ventures, and government, eventually becoming an officer of the company. Lloyd found his second calling mentoring students as a professor at the Bissett School of Business (MRU), where he taught until he retired in 2015. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time at his acreage in Hill Spring and maintaining a small business as a logistics consultant with clients across Canada. Lloyd valued his prairie roots and contributed meaningfully to causes he felt were important to his family and his community's future.
