Prepared to Drown is a monthly recorded podcast & live event with a variety of exciting themes exploring the intersection of faith & the world we live in today.

Episode 4: "The Long Thaw":

Why does Christmas bring out our hunger for redemption stories? From Scrooge to the Grinch to the Winter Warlock, this episode explores why tales of hardened hearts softening sill capture us - and what they reveal about grace, change, and the possibility of peace in a world frozen by discord.

Our first confirmed guest is Val Lieske of Fire Exit Theatre:

Val is the founder and Executive Artistic Director of Fire Exit Theatre (www.fireexit.ca) who is in its 24th season of Telling Stories That Matter in Calgary. She has a BA in Theatre and Speech from Trinity Guild (UK) and has worked in the church and the theatre world for over 25 years. Val is a playwright, speaker, educator, performer and Chaplain to the arts community. She loves both strong coffee and conversation. Val has a shared Schnoodle named Reuben and a 97 year old mom.

Podcast features: Rev. Bill Weaver, Ricardo De Menezes, Rev. Joanne Anquist. Special guest Val Lieske.
