Summer Stage! Musical Theatre Camp 2026

$350.00

Join Rev. Joanne Anquist and Rev. Bill Weaver for our 2nd annual summer theatre camp! Summer Stage! Over the course of two weeks we will put on a youth musical theatre production. Intended for kids and teens ages 8-14, you can expect days filled with theatre sports, learning lines, music, and choreography. Musical theatre is a great way to build community, skills, and confidence while having a whole lot of fun. Scripts will be sent out ahead of time once the details are finalized and auditions will be held prior to the camp but everyone will receive a part to play! New this year, we're adding puppetry and mask making workshops!

The hours of Summer Stage! Theatre Day Camp is 9 am - 4 pm, Monday-Friday. The doors will open at 8:45. Your child will not be permitted prior to that time unless they are registered in Before & After Care (8 - 9am; 4-5 pm). You will be asked if this is of interest during the registration process.

The show the kids will be working on this year is James and the Giant Peach JR.! James and the Giant Peach JR. follows James, a lonely boy sent to live with his terrible aunts. When he discovers a mysterious magic potion, it transforms an ordinary peach into a gigantic vessel—and introduces him to a group of quirky, kindhearted insect friends. Together, they embark on an ocean‑crossing journey filled with danger, humor, and wonder. Along the way, James learns that family isn’t just who you’re born to, but who you grow with, trust, and love.

James and the Giant Peach JR. offers a whimsical, big‑hearted adventure where participants bring Roald Dahl’s classic story to life through music, imagination, and teamwork. It blends playful fantasy with meaningful themes about belonging, courage, and the families we create along the way.
