Acadia Pantry Fundraiser - Week 2

Acadia Food Pantry (AFP) is a community organization funded by donations and grants.  It is operated by volunteers from local churches, community groups and service organizations.

The Food Pantry is held at McDougall United on the 3rd Tuesday each month.  We are able to offer fresh items that are not provided by other resources.  We continue to apply for grants.  These present challenges as there are restrictions as to how often you can apply.  In addition, there are fewer grants as many organizations are making the same application for monetary support.

The Pantry supports 70 families per month.  Unfortunately, this means those last in line will receive less. We are seeking monetary gifts including a request for regular monthly donors:

  • $25.00 donation will provide a hamper for a family of 3 or less

  • $50.00 donation provides for a larger family.

Please join us on April 21, 2024 after service for a fundraiser.  During service we will have Donna Gordon, Viviana Reinberg, and McDougall volunteer(s) speak about the importance of this ongoing work.  A light lunch will be served.

In addition to our money/monthly donor fundraiser we ask, if you are able to donate non perishable proteins. This includes peanut butter and canned meats (tuna, ham, chicken).  These can be brought on April 14 and 21.

Marilyn Bates will be there to collect your items.
