  • Fall Artisan Market - Vendor List: October 4 is our second annual Fall Artisan Market. We hope that you will be able to come between 10 - 4 pm for a full day of fun. There is a pet blessing, children's craft, free glitter tattoos, live music, bake table. silent auction, concession and at the center of it all, our vendor market. We have lined up an amazing group of vendors. If you are wanting to start planning your shopping list, you can see the whole list on our website.

  • Inter-Gen is coming back and looking for Seniors: Our popular Friday afternoon multiple generation group is back starting on October 24 (this might change due to the teacher strike). This group is in partnership with Lord Beaverbrook High School and GoodLinks and brings high school students together with seniors to build relationships. Learn more and register on our website.

  • Fall Artisan Market 2025 Pictures: On Saturday, October 4th we had our second annual Fall Artisan Market. What an amazing day! We had a silent auction, bake table, pet blessing, bistro, live music, glitter tattoos, kids craft and of course a vendors market.   • Camp Kasota 2025 Pictures: Now that the weather is colder, you might be dreaming about next summer. If this is you, now is a great time to start planning for Camp Kasota on May 29 - 31, 2026.   • Thanksgiving Service Pictures: We had our Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, October 12th. The Celebration Singers shared their talent, Rev. Joanne had a conversation about farming with Barrie C and the congregation was able to enjoy some birthday cake (Happy 95th Birthday Donna T) in Hospitality Hall following the service.   • Blessing of the Animals 2025: Check out some of the cute animals that came by to take part in our Pet Blessing on October 4, 2025. We even had a snake this year!!! What do you think we will see next year?

  • Notice of Passing: It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Ash on the 10th of October, 2025 at the age of 75 years.  Visit Lloyd’s Candle Memorial here.

  • Leadership Council October Update: Over the past year, representatives from the McDougall Leadership Council have participated in meetings with the Joint Vision and Planning Group that was created under the 2025 MOU for our Shared Ministry Team collaboration with Red Deer Lake and Ogden communities of faith. At McDougall’s October 8th Leadership Council meeting, council members approved the following recommendations from that joint leadership group on behalf of McDougall United Church.   • Feed the Hungry - Thank You: Thank you to everyone who supported the Feed the Hungry campaign this year. We successfully raised our financial contribution of $3000 thanks to everyone’s generous support. In addition, we were able to fill 20 volunteer positions! Continue reading on website

  • Notice of Passing: Lillian Stein - It is with sadness that we inform you of the passing of Lillian Stein on October 16, 2025 at the age of 93 years. Visit Lillian’s Candle Memorial here.

  • November Dinners to Go — Plus a Turkey Dinner Bonus! This month, we have a special bonus: 12 Turkey Dinners are available for pickup. These are delicious leftovers from an event catered by Homestead Catering. Please note that they contain wheat and dairy. Learn more on our website.
