Leadership Council Second Quadrimestre Report (May - August 2025): During the second Quadrimestre of 2025 the Leadership Council had one regularly scheduled meeting and one emergent meeting. We continue to be grateful for the individuals who have volunteered to be a part of the Leadership Council as well as those individuals who volunteer for the variety of events and programs planned by our various ministry teams and working groups. Thank You Marsha! We would like to extend our gratitude to Marsha D for her quiet dedication to the McDougall Memorial Garden. She consistently makes sure that the garden looks beautiful and is well maintained and also assists the office by ensuring plaques are picked up from the engravers.

Fall Artisan Market: We are looking for baking: On October 4th we are hosting a Fall Artisan Market at McDougall from 10 - 4 pm. As part of the market we will be selling baking at a bake table. All the money that we raise through the market table sales, bake table and concession will go back to the church. Continue reading on website.
Reflections by Rev. Joanne Anquist: This past week, September 9th, I celebrated 10 years at McDougall United. I came there first as pulpit supply, and then was called after my ordination. Becoming an ordained minister was the last step in my ministry for the church. When I look back on my 30 years of ministry, not just as an ordained minister, but the time I spent as a worship animator, and a youth leader, I am grateful for the relationships that have formed, and the ways I have seen God at work amongst the people. Fall Artisan Market: Live Music Featuring Mandy Heide, On October 4th we are hosting a Fall Artisan Market at McDougall from 10 - 4 pm. McDougall United Outreach & Social Justice Ministry 2025 Fall Update, The Season of Creation is a new season that begins on September 1st the Holy Day of Creation in the Orthodox Church, ending on October 4th the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi. In Canada, we often include Thanksgiving Sunday, which traditionally has been a celebration of creation. Continue reading on website.
Reflections by Rev. Joanne Anquist, Tuesday September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Because of our commitment to Right Relations and the United Church’s history with Residential Schools, our offices at both sites will be closed on that day to give an opportunity to reflect on this history and how we can live into right relations.
