  • Library Update - November 2025: Here are the latest selections our team put on display for winter reading pleasure, with many thanks to those who donated their already read books. See books on website.

  • Open Table October Wrap Up: On Saturday, October 11th families joined us for a Thanksgiving Open Table event. Guests started the evening by painting rocks. Many chose to paint Thanksgiving pumpkins or messages of gratitude. Continue reading on our website.

  • Trans Day of Remembrance: Today is Trans Day of Remembrance (Nov 20): a day when we at McDougall United Church reflect on every trans life taken too soon. We remember the names we know personally, the names held in the hearts of our extended family of faith around the world, and the countless names we never hear. Our hearts break at the ongoing violence, rejection, and fear that continue to shape the lives of trans people and all members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.   • Notice of Passing: Robert (Wayne) Peddie: It is with sadness that we inform you of the passing of Wayne Peddie earlier this month on November 10th, 2025 at the age of 91 years. Visit Wayne’s Candle Memorial.

  • Volunteers Needed: December 7: We could use some volunteers to help invite the community to our “Scrooge” performances as well as our Christmas Eve Services. Flyers with the “Scrooge” ticket information as well as an invitation to our Christmas Eve services will be available and we could use your help getting them out. Volunteers are needed to put these flyers in the mailboxes of the homes surrounding the church. Continue reading on website.

  • We are looking for Children and Youth to Participate in our Christmas Eve 4 pm Service: Rev. Danah is hard at work planning our family Christmas Eve service.   • Ministers’ Message: “Marley was dead, to begin with.” As far back as I can remember, I have always been captured by the image of Marley’s chains. Dickens describes them in such an ordinary way: cash boxes, keys, padlocks, ledgers, deeds, and heavy purses wrought in steel. Nothing about them is grand or theatrical. They are made of everyday things from Marley's life as he knew it, the kinds of choices a person makes without thinking. They did not appear all at once. Continue reading on website.
